Elected as Global Community Development Program manager in the Local Committee of AIESEC in Côte d’Ivoire in 2013. Josias AMBEU facilitated an internship in Côte d’Ivoire for me in two amazing project Activate Joy and Eco Project.
He was my host during my stay. Josias AMBEU is really passionate about community development. He impressed me by his creativity, global mindset, hard work and his awareness and development process.
Josias is very innovative and he sees opportunities everywhere. Not only is he able to come up with innovative ideas, but he is also great in implementation too. He has both strategic and operational overview which is very important for short-term growth and long-term development. I got the privilege of knowing him better during my internship in his country, he really made me feel at home and welcome me. But most importantly he made sure I was having a great experience even with the language barrier.
As young African from a French country, he speaks English fluently. Because of his passion for youth development he was selected to come to Nigeria to work with the AIESEC Country office of which he was able to create over 300 opportunities for young people to have the experience that he was having at the time.
As a person Josias is a leader with a set of very strong values, aligned with a clear purpose. He is very humble and has immense belief in other people capabilities, which empowers people around him and through that himself. Josias has a great talent: ability and willingness to listen, and not only listen, but actually hear what people are really saying.
The combination of all these qualities and skills mentioned above makes Josias a leader with all competencies listed in articles about the type of leadership the world needs today. But leadership is not only skills, knowledge, attitude; it is also about personality, values and beliefs. I know that he has all of that.
He ha s been just recently been shortlisted among 6000 candidates to be part of the TOP 5 for UN HABITAT Youth Advisory Board in Africa. Right now only a male candidate will be selected and he needs your vote.
